CLARIFICATION ON GOPHER SAFETY ‘LEAVING SCHOOL’

Earlier today, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported that Minnesota safety Tramaine Brock had left school for academic reasons and said a return was unlikely.Ummm, can I get an “oops”?This evening, the St. Paul Pioneer Press -- and a Star-Tribune link to the earlier story which has been changed without mentioning the early jump-of-the-gun -- is reporting that Brock will indeed return to school and could be a part of the football team come fall."Tramaine Brock will not be a part of our team this spring,” head coach Tim Brewster said in a statement according to the Pioneer Press. “But we fully anticipate that he will re-join the team this summer and be a part of our program in the fall.”
