SON OF UGA HEAD COACH TO TRANSFER

Earlier this morning, we noted in our one-liners that the son of Georgia head coach Mark Richt would be one of four players battling for the starting quarterback position at Clemson.12 hours later, that has changed and the number of combatants for the job reduced by 25% as ESPN.com is reporting that Jon Richt has decided to transfer from the school.”Jon has been an outstanding representative of our school in every way and we will help him any way we can,” Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney said following today’s practice. The younger Richt will transfer to a smaller school, although there are no specifics yet as to the school or division he will head to.
