New Mexico’s Locksley Accused of Sexual Harassment

New Mexico football coach Mike Locksley had a sexual harassment charge levied against him by a former employee. The employee worked in the football office as Locksley’s assistant from February until April, before transferring out of the office. She quit working for the university in May and then filed the complaint.Syliva Lopez filed her complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Paul Krebs, New Mexico athletics director, said, “The complaint deals with harassment, age discrimination, and retaliation. Because it is an ongoing EEOC complaint and a personnel matter, there’s really not a lot I can talk about, or not a lot of details I can go into,” Krebs said.Locksley himself denies any wrongdoing."Everybody who knows me knows that I treat individuals with the respect that I want to be treated with,” Locksley said. “Change and transition is always tough on everybody. Out of respect for all involved, that is all I am going to say."Locksley has been on the job in Albuquerque for less than six months and has yet to coach a game.
