Buffs Give Former WR A Second Option

When Josh Smith decided he was transferring from Colorado, the athletic department released the wide receiver/return specialist from his scholarship, albeit with one huge stipulation: he had has choice of one school and one school only.

Smith appealed that decision earlier this month, but the appeal was denied.

Now, however, the school has seemingly come to its senses somewhat and will allow an additional school to be a potential destination.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, UCLA now joins USC as schools to which Smith is allowed to transfer.

The paper said a deal was worked out between Smith and head coach Dan Hawkins after the appeal was denied to add the Bruins to the “list”.
