Tide Players Continue Rollin' Out Of 'Bama

Yesterday, it was learned that wide receiver Chris Jackson had asked for, and received, permission to seek a transfer.

Today, it was deja vu all over again for The Tide.

According to the Birmingham News, and citing an unnamed source, linebacker Brandon Fanney has been granted permission to transfer from the school.

On the one hand, Fanney was third on the team in tackles last season.

On the other hand, Fanney had been suspended back in March for violating unspecified team rules.

On the other hand for the three-handed people in the audience — and I know you’re out there — it’s very likely that Coach Woodcock didn’t have the talented but issue-laden linebacker in his plans for the 2009 season, so this is a very minimal loss for the program.
