Temple’s will be a couple players lighter come the start of summer camp, the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting.
According to the paper, defensive end Junior Galette and defensive back Daryl Robinson have been dismissed from the team and will not play in 2009.
“They are no longer members of the team, and we’ll have no further comment,” Cathy Bongiovi, who works with the football team for Temple’s sports media-relations office, told The Inquirer.
Sources told the paper that the coaching staff was not with pleased with the commitment, or lack thereof, the two players had made to the team.
I was going to send you this scoop– they were pretty good players, but both knuckleheads. Galette is a nut.
