When Texas takes on Rice next year in a “road” game, they will be heading to the home of the Houston Texans to do it, the Austin American-Statesman is reporting.
Financial considerations caused the Owls to move their 2010 home game against the Longhorns to Reliant Stadium.
Athletic director Chris Del Conte told the paper that the revenue the school will get for the UT game will more than double what they received for all of their 2008 home games combined.
The two teams squared off at Reliant in 2006.
