Down goes Bradford

The “real” inauguration of the new Jerry Jones’ ode to excess has turned into something more real than any Oklahoma fans would not wish upon anyone.  Especially themselves.

Very late in the first half, Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford went down with what appears to be a right-shoulder injury.  A kinda serious one at that, seeing as it involves his throwing shoulder.

(As an aside, Lou Holtz really just needs to be done.  He’s attempting to do something with this Sooner QB situation that I’m not familiar with.)

The full extent of the injury is not known, but Bradford was laid out on a cart as the half ended.

Being Mr. Obvious at this point, an injury to Bradford that extended well beyond this game would all but eliminate the No. 3 team in the nation’s shot at a Big 12 crown and a BcS opportunity.

The loss of Bradford is being broadcast as the reason for the loss. The fact is that OU got stopped and pushed all over the field even when Bradford was in there. Both teams made their share of mistakes but it was only BYU’s mistakes that kept OU in the game.
