Everyone presumes that BYU was a slouch and didn’t deserve to be in the same stadium as the Sooners. The reality is that BYU has come off of 2 consecutive 10 win seasons and the MWC beat up the PAC 10 last year only losing one regular season to that league. In addition Utah showed Alabama that not only they could compete with them, but handed them their lunch.
When is the BCS cheerleaders going to wake up and realize that there are legitimate teams that can not only play with the “Big Boys”, but can beat them as well. OU shouldn’t be criticized for losing to a great team and shouldn’t be left out of Title Consideration if they can run the table on the rest of the season. Who knows, maybe the National Title Game will end up being a rematch of yesterdays teams……it could happen.
Congratulations to a very underrated team like BYU and losing to them isn’t something that OU ought to be ashamed of.
