Huskies boot Batts from program

Defensive back David Batts did not play in Washington’s first two games of the 2009 season.

That trend will continue throughout the remainder of the year and beyond as the JUCO transfer has been kicked out of the football program.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian made the announcement this afternoon, but wouldn’t go any further into the reasoning than the ever-popular violation of team rules.

Batts started a safety at UW, but ultimately moved to cornerback. His removal from the program likely does nothing to affect the Huskies’ BcS title hopes this season.
