USC tailback Stafon Johnson rushed to hospital

According to radio reports in Los Angeles, USC tailback Stafon Johnson has been rushed to a hospital after suffering an injury to his throat due to an accident in the Trojan weight room.

The senior, who is listed as a co-starter with junior Joe McKnight, has rushed for 157 yards and five touchdowns on 47 carries this season.

Johnson led the Trojans in rushing last season with 705 yards on the ground.  He has run for 1,552 yards and 19 touchdowns in his four-year collegiate career.

USC has not yet confirmed the injury.
