Bradford a no-go for start vs. 'Canes game

After a couple of week’s worth of speculation, head coach Bob Stoops has put an end to all of the Sam Bradford talk by ruling the reigning Heisman winner out for this weekend’s game.

Instead, Landry Jones will start his third straight game in place of Jones.

In a statement, Stoops said that while Bradford had made daily progress, he’s just not back enough physically to allow him to be a go against Miami (Fla.) Saturday night.

“Sam has made daily progress, but we don’t feel like he’s quite where he needs to be yet,” Stoops said in a statement released by the school. “Our team has a lot of confidence in Landry’s ability and we’re looking forward to going into the game with him at quarterback. Our approach will be the same that it has been in the last two games.”

Jones has thrown nine touchdown passes — including a school-record six in his second career start — as Bradford’s replacement.

The Canes need to get after this young gun and the crowd needs to be electric, like it used to be in the Orange Bowl for big night games. I would of rather faced Bradford cause of the rust factor and to see how he responds to taking a few hits. Anyhow, i’m amped for this chance to bounce back!
