An academic suspension led to Davis' decision, which left the Eagles -- for a week -- with the nephew of a BC legend at the top of the QB scrap heap until ex-minor leaguer Dave Shinskie came in to "save" the day.
Now, five months later, Davis has settled on a new school.
According to ESPN.com's Joe Schad, Davis has decided to transfer to East Carolina. He is currently at a Kansas community college, but will have two years of eligibility when he comes to the Pirates.
Davis told Schad that the current ECU QB played a big part in his decision.
"It's the best fit for me and the best offense for me," Davis said. "I've watched Patrick Pinkney play and I'd like to keep it going."
Davis was the first of two QBs to transfer from BC since the start of summer. Last week, Justin Tuggle announced his plans to leave the school as well.
