Today, his head coach said not so fast, my QB.
According to Steve Sarkisian, Locker and the coaching staff may have to "wake up Saturday morning and see how he's feeling."
The junior missed practice all of last week with a deep thigh bruise suffered against UCLA. he returned Sunday, and is expected to progressively increase his workload throughout this week, provided the leg will allow it.
Sarkisian said they took it easy on the QB yesterday, not asking Locker to do any real running during drills.
"We limited him to some degree yesterday,'' he said. "We didn't have him running around, he was not doing anything that put any real stress on that thing. Hopefully by doing that we can get that thing even more rest to reduce the swelling. But at some point we have to ask him to do some of those things here throughout the week to see what his limitations are and what he can do."
The coach added they should have a little bit clearer on the status of Locker's health following today's practice.
