Shipley, McCoy go off in Longhorn rout

Colt McCoy, welcome back to the very thick of the Heisman race.  And send a big thank you in the direction of best bud and wide receiver Jordan Shipley while you're at it.

McCoy passed for 470 yards on 33-of-42 passing, including two touchdowns, as No. 2 Texas had little trouble dispatching Central Florida 35-3.

Shipley was the biggest beneficiary of -- or biggest reason for -- McCoy's monster performance as the senior caught 11 passes for a school-record 273 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Shipley's total surpassed Johnny "Lam" Jones' 198 yards, while MCoy's passing yardage was the second-highest in school history.

With this afternoon stroll, Texas remains unbeaten at 9-0 and stays on course for a date in Pasadena for the national championship game.
