Bayou blow: top LSU back done for season

As if losing out on any realistic hope of playing in the SEC championship game wasn't enough, now LSU will have to deal with the loss of their leading rusher for the remainder of the season as well.

According to the Baton Rouge Advocate, running back Charles Scott suffered a broken clavicle in the loss to Alabama and will be out for the rest of the 2009 regular season.  It's uncertain whether he will be able to recover in time for a bowl game.

Scott suffered the injury when he was tackled at the end of a 34-yard run late in the third quarter.

The senior currently leads the Tigers with 542 yards and four rushing touchdowns.

With Scott done for the year, the paper reports, sophomore Stevan Ridley and senior Keiland Williams are the likely candidates move into the starting lineup.
