Unfortunately for the football big boys, they won't get that chance. At least this draft.
According to the Clemson defensive back, he has decided to return to the Tigers for his senior season. McDaniel said he didn't really give much thought to making a jump, and a big reason for that was because he wanted to set a good example for his siblings.
"I've never really thought about leaving," he said. "I really want to graduate. I want to be a good role model for my little sister and my little brother and anybody looking up to me."
McDaniel currently has eight interceptions this season, tied with UCLA's Rahim Moore for tops in the nation.
Incidentally, McDaniel is the Tiger Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder attempted to tackle this past weekend following an interception. Ponder suffered a separated shoulder on the play, ending his 2009 season.
Dude. Take the money! Don't risk injury. You can always graduate later.
It would be nice to see the WWL giving this story as much press as the Blount story.
