'Cocks could get starter back for Gators

After missing last weekend’s loss to Arkansas, starting defensive end Cliff Matthews could return this weekend and attempt to help South Carolina upset No. 1 Florida.

Matthews, who started the first nine games this season, suffered a shoulder injury in the loss to Tennessee on Nov. 1.

Shortly after the injury, Matthews was ruled out of both the Arkansas and Florida games, with the thought that he might be able to return for the season finale against Clemson.

However, Matthews participated in practice Monday and now, as The State newspaper puts it, could see action against the Gators.

If the Cocks do not turn the ball over I actually think they match up well with UF. The Cocks can play defense and UF really has not shown much offensively. Matthews and Norwood could really get to Tebow. With that said, Garcia and the offense might not put up many points. I would run it right at them and take shots deep with the lanky young receivers and an upset might happen. UF won’t score more than 20 unless the Cocks give away the ball and create a short field.

but for another one of sec commisioner mike slive’s dishonest sec officiating crews, the ole ball coach and south carolina would beat florida, a team which dishonest sec officials have already saved from 2 losses this season, along with 2 loss alabama.

    RobertG:
Two loss Alabama? What a joke you are. Must be a UT fan. Only a loser like you would think Cody should have been flagged for throwing off his helmet once the clock reached zero against UT. And LSU had 11 total yards in the 4th QTR against Bama. If the INT would have been called LSU needed to go 69 to take a lead. Maybe they could have done it but maybe they would have not done anything, like they did when they got the ball back down 9. Go bail some of your recruits out of jail or something.
