Bob Davie spoke with Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio this morning about the storm that's brewing around Charlie Weis and the Fighting Irish. It was an interesting discussion, and one where Davie talked about how difficult it is to play elite defense at Notre Dame, and how hard it is to coach under the Golden Dome.

1. bob davie is actually the least qualified to speak about the coaching hot seat at notre dame.
2. bob davie, unlike charlie weis, is not a notre dame graduate and had zero clues about how to deal with notre dame's alums and administation.
3. it was under lazy bob davie's watch that notre dame's recruiting network died since davie's idea of recruiting was to sit in his office at notre dame and wait for recruits to show up at notre dame.
4. it was bob davie who told notre dame that bringing back notre dame football was impossible unless notre dame eliminated its very high academic and character standards, something which notre dame refused to do.
5. it was davie's position on that issue that got davie fired by notre dame, not losses on the field.
6. charlie and his staff have hit the roads to the high schools all over the us and recreated notre dame's recruiting network, with only dishonest officiating making it appear that notre dame has 3 phony losses this season on paper only and that 2 loss florida and alabama teams, on paper only, are undefeated.
7, charlie and his staff are not on any hot seats with any of the people at notre dame who now have decision making powers about notre dame football and never have been and never will be.
8. these baseless media articles about the jobs of charlie and his staff being at risk are generated by some media shills who are on the payrolls who football factory schools which are engaged in recruiting wars with notre dame and are seeking to con recruits and their familes into signing away their futures by choosing the football factories(no real educations for football players) and some innocent victims in the media who get conned by the paid shills.
