All signs point to Robinson starting for Terps

With a sprained MCL still an issue for starter Chris Turner, it's looking more and more likely that Maryland will turn to Jamarr Robinson as their starting quarterback.

Turner, who suffered the injury last weekend against North Carolina State, is officially listed as doubtful heading into the game Saturday with Virginia Tech.

The sophomore Brown has thrown all of 11 passes this season, and would be making his first career start for the 2-7 Terrapins.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the remainder of the Terps' disappointing season is whether they will burn a redshirt on one of their young quarterbacks.  Neither Danny O'Brien nor C.J. Brown have played a down this season, but head coach Ralph Friedgen -- perhaps as a result of the flame enveloping his rear end -- said now he won't hesitate to play one if he thinks it will help getting a victory.

"I am going to do what I've got to do to win," Friedgen said. "If winning a game means playing Danny, then I'm going to play Danny. One year I went through three quarterbacks. Anything is up for grabs right now."

There is a QB at Maryland that could out play any of those guys you mentioned. Jonathan Pillow is an outstanding QB who decided to go to Maryland instead of Florida State. The coaches at Maryland saw lots of potential with him and decided to move him to WR. This kid has a ton of talent and will make an impact at any position on the field.
