While the Minnesota Gophers season might have gone with the foot ofstar receiver Eric Decker, I don’t think many of us saw this coming.
With a shade over two minutes remaining, Minnesota just kicked a field goal to pull ahead of SouthDakota State16-13. Tim Brewster’s squad is desperately in need of awin today, because a date at Iowa’s Kinnick Stadium next Saturday won’thave Gopher fans feeling too confident, even if half of the Hawkeyesare out with injuries. Minnesota would need to get to 6-6 to be eligible for a bowl game.
South Dakota State is second in the MVC Conference, sitting at 7-2 behind Southern Illinois. The Jackrabbits are already marching across midfield as they go for the win.
The Gophers won, 16-13.
