UGA releases statement on Rambo's condition

Updating an earlier story, Georgia safety Bacarri Rambo has been released from the hospital after a violent collision with an Auburn player temporarily knocked him out and left him with a concussion.

Here’s UGA’s press release updating the status of the defensive back:

Bacarri Rambo, a sophomore defensive back from Donalsonville, Georgia, sustained a concussion with loss of consciousness while making a tackle during the 4th quarter of the Georgia vs. Auburn game last evening.

He was assessed and stabilized on a spine board by Georgia sports medicine staff and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel and was transported by ambulance to St. Mary¹s Hospital, where he underwent diagnostic testing. All diagnostic tests were normal. He remained overnight at St. Mary¹s Hospital for observation and was released from the hospital earlier Sunday afternoon.

At this time, his football status is out indefinitely. He will continue to be reassessed daily by the Georgia sports medicine staff.
