Already facing the twin losses of Sam Bradford and Jermaine Gresham to NFL early entry, Oklahoma faithful have been fearful that DeMarco Murray would make it a departing trifecta.
At least today, those fears appear to be unfounded.
According to the running back, he’s leaning toward staying in school for his senior season.
“That’s just something that my family and I will look into,” Murray said. “But I’m pretty sure I’ll be back here next year.”
It seems as if Murray’s so-far decision has almost everything to do with the Sooners’ disappointing season.
“I like it here,” the junior said. “I don’t want to end my career at OU with an 8-4 record or whatever. So just trying to get better.
“And I just enjoy being here. I’m part of a great team here; I love the coaching staff, things like that. I love the camaraderie with my teammates. It’s just a great atmosphere.”
