Even as he’s sporting a soft cast on his injured throwing hand, Jacory Harris will be healthy enough to start this weekend according to both the Miami quarterback and his head coach.
Harris was hit on the hand during the loss to North Carolina and, in addition to the soft cast, he will be limited in practice throughout the week as a precaution. The sophomore will also play with a protective sleeve to further minimize any issue the injury may cause.
“I’ll be playing Saturday, no problem,” Harris said according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “…I just haven’t put it [the sleeve] on yet to see how it feels.”
Head coach Randy Shannon told the media after practice that there is “no chance” Harris won’t be available for the game with Duke.
