Ponder surgery a success

Surgery performed on the shoulder of Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder was labeled a success, the St. Petersburg Times is reporting.

The junior suffered a Grade 3 separation of his right (throwing) shoulder Nov. 7 against Clemson as he was attempting to make a tackle following an interception.

A statement from the school said that, as long as rehabilitation goes as scheduled, Ponder "will have limited, non-contact participation in spring football."
