Jones' father told the Detroit News that it looks like his son will return to the Spartans next season, but the junior will sit down with his family next week and come to a decision on his football future.
"We don't have any plans for the NFL right now," Greg Jones Sr. told the News. "But we will talk about it next week."
For his part, the younger Jones says his focus is on MSU's bowl game.
"I have not given it any thoughts," Jones said. "Right now I am going to the bowl game. Right now I want to get ready for the bowl. That's all I got on my mind."
Jones is widely viewed as a first- or second-round pick if he were decide to make himself available for the 2010 NFL draft.
