Ingram still looking very Heisman-like

For the better part of a month, it's looked as if the Heisman was Alabama's Mark Ingram to lose.

This morning, it's looking like the same old, same old for the Tide running back.

In the HeismanPundit.com's latest poll, Ingram remains at the head of the class with a commanding lead based on a sampling of 13 Heisman voters.

Ingram's 58 points and ten first-place votes easily tops Colt McCoy's runner-up totals of 40 and one.  Others receiving first-place votes were Stanford running back Toby Gerhart and -- in the perfect symbol for why the Heisman continues to be a joke -- Notre Dame wide receiver Golden Tate.

Needless to say, and as many others have pontificated, this could very well go down as one of the closest Heisman races in the history of the trophy.

And, as always, I'll list my Heisman picks below.  Oddly enough, they look remotely similar to last week's picks.  In fact, they are exactly the same.  Why?  Because I'm lazy no player did anything to change the order in my own beer-addled mind.

1. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
2a. Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford
2b. Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama
2c. Kellen Moore, QB, Boise State
3a. Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
3b. Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama
3c. Case Keenum, QB, Houston
3d. Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
3e. C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
3f. Jerry Hughes, DE, TCU

Tate being 4th is a joke? The only joke here is McCoy being 2nd putting up less-than-stellar numbers against an absolute joke of a schedule

Gerhardt? Come on folks. The guy is a good player but not even close to the player Ingram is. Plus his team is 7-4 with losses @ Wake Forest and CAL @ home. Ingram is averaging almost 180 ypg against top 25 teams. His QB was attrocious against Ole Miss and Sotuh Carolina and Ingram put up 418 yards rushing in those two games. Week in and week out Mark Ingram has been the nation's most impressive player. This conversation will be moot after DEC 5 when Ingram puts up about 170 against Saint Timmy's Urban Legend Gators.

Tate has been a terrific player at Notre Dame for 3 years. This year he has been a force, making many tough catches, and outstanding plays.

It sorry that a hack writer like you has this forum to make unjustified attacks attacks on this hard working, tough kid.

Florio, if you are in charge of this, get some talent in here.

    A last time reader.
