Herd coach latest on the firing line

College football's Black Sunday has begun earnest as Marshall has decided to make a change at head coach, ESPN.com's Joe Schad is reporting.

Citing a source close to the situation, Schad reports that the Herd has decided to fire coach Mark Snyder.  The move to oust Snyder has been rumored for weeks.

An announcement officially confirming the firing is expected later today.

Snyder, who was a safety for the Herd back in the mid- to late-80's, finishes his Marshall tenure with a 22-37 record.

Snyder is the sixth Div. 1-A coach to lose their job in the last month, and he certainly won't be the last.
