Bowden met with retiring school president T.K. Wetherell and athletic director Randy Spetman for an hour today, and is expected to meet with the officials again Tuesday ahead of the announcement.
"We talked about my future here at Florida State," Bowden said at a Monday booster luncheon according to the Associated Press. He did not elaborate on what was discussed.
Following Saturday's season-ending whipping at the hands of Florida, Bowden reiterated his desire to coach one more season before officially handing over the keys to the program to head coach-in-waiting Jimbo Fisher, but did allow that he need to do "some soul-searching".
