UGA lineman hit with underage drinking charge

Georgia will likely be without defensive end Montez Robinson for their bowl game after the freshman was arrested early Monday morning, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting.

Robinson was charged with underage possession of alcohol after campus police were called to a parking deck about glass being broken at 2 a.m.

The defensive lineman had played in 11 games this season, and was named the SEC's Defensive Lineman of the Week following the Tennessee Tech game.

Why is this news? The internet age has put a spot light on athletes. Nearly 100% of underage college students drink. Would this be in the paper if it was just a normal student and not a student-athlete?

    GWR-

What are you trying to argue? It IS news because he plays for Georgia, and is not any normal student. Assuming he doesn't play in their bowl, wouldn't you wonder why he wasn't playing if you hadn't heard this?

no. nobody would wonder because he hasn't been playing anyway.
