Kiffin set to lose another assistant

Late last week, Tennessee lost Frank Wilson to LSU as the wide receivers coach accepted a position on Les Miles‘ coaching staff.

Today comes word that Lane Kiffin could be on the verge of having yet another coaching hole to fill.

According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, and citing various Internet reports, special teams coach Eddie Gran has accepted a position on new Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher‘s coaching staff.

Kiffin did not confirm that Gran was leaving Knoxville, but did admit it’s a possibility.

“Eddie is still going over both options,” Kiffin said after practice Saturday. “Obviously that’s a really good place, so it’s a tough decision for him.

“He’s recruited Florida for years and years, and it’s a powerful school down there.”

Someone should stuff a muffin in Kiffin’s mouth – the way he portrays himself, he will pretty much be as popular as a radioactive wasteground in a while.
No wonder Al Davis gave him the boot for cause… everyone’s starting to bail out before the ship sinks.
