Kelly tweets he had eggs this morning... on his house

It goes without saying that there were more than a few fans of the Cincinnati Bearcats who were slightly miffed when Brian Kelly decided to bolt the Queen City for Touchdown Jesus and the Notre Dame job.

Last night, at least one of them decided to publicly display just how disgruntled and dismayed he/she was over the move.

On his Twitter account early this afternoon, Kelly posted the following:

“Spent most of the morning on the phone with recruits. House got egged last night and the sign on the lawn wasn’t a FOR SALE sign.”

[Why do I get the feeling the next tweet we see from interim UC coach Jeff Quinn will be something along the lines of “Will the next person that sees anybody throw anything onto this house, point ‘em out and get ‘em out of here. You don’t live in South Bend, you live in Cincinnati!!!”]

As pointed out by SportsByBrooks.com, wide receiver saw this type of “activity” coming when Kelly was surrounded by security at the school’s awards banquet Thursday.

“He never had any security like that before. I mean he already won Coach of the Year before, so all that security wasn’t necessary. I think he was worried about what was going to go on with the city and the fans if anything.”
