Yet another coordinator leaving his brother

First, it was Mark Stoops accepting the defensive coordinator job at Florida State after holding the same title on his brother Mike’s Arizona coaching staff.

Now, apparently, Paul Petrino is doing the same thing to his brother Bobby.

According to the Champaign News-Gazette, Illinois is expected to hire the Arkansas offensive coordinator to fill the void left by the dismissal of former coordinator Mike Schultz on Friday.

Paul Petrino has been on his brother’s Razorbacks staff since Bobby Petrino came to Fayetteville in 2008, and has been linked to at least a couple of head coaching jobs in the last month.  The younger Petrino pulled his name out of the running for the Western Kentucky vacancy in November, and was rumored to be a candidate for the Marshall opening as well.
