Huge Terp tackle to take on NFL

With a grade somewhere in the middle of the first to the middle of the second round, Maryland offensive lineman Bruce Campbell has decided to leave school early and make himself available for the 2010 NFL draft.

The 6-7, 310-pound tackle wasn’t even a first-team All-ACC performer this season, but still feels he has something “special” to offer an NFL team.

I feel I can be something special and this is best for me,” Campbell said. “I have good size and I can protect the quarterbacks’ blind side. I played defensive line in high school so I can also think like a defensive player, which is an advantage.”

Once again, players have until Jan. 15 to officially declare for the draft.
