Michigan corner bolting for the NFL

Earlier this month, Donovan Warren stated that there was a “strong possibility” he would leave Michigan a year early and enter the NFL draft.

Unfortunately for a Wolverine defense in desperate need of experienced talent, that “strong possibility” has become a “definite reality”.

Speaking to ESPN.com‘s Joe Schad, the junior cornerback confirmed that he will make himself available for the 2010 NFL draft.

“I am confident in my abilities to play any receiver at the next level,” Warren said. “I am hoping to be drafted in the first round.”

Warren would be the first junior defensive back to officially declare his pro-NFL intentions — and, yes, I am completely aware that Joe Haden and Eric Berry are mere formalities.

And, speaking of juniors declaring and page views, for a list of all the underclassmen who are making the move to the NFL, please be so kind as to click HERE.

With this being a make-or-break season for the Wolverines, this may very well be the first official nail in DickRod’s coffin.

At least he can’t lose to OSU in the NFL.

This guy is the real deal. I’m sad to see him go but he’ll do well at the next level.

That’s painful. He’s good, but not NFL good yet.
Bad decision that’s actually doing to cost him some money.
