Rutgers likely to lose OT Davis to NFL

For the fourth consecutive season, Rutgers ended their season with a bowl win — this one a 45-24 cruise over Central Florida.

After the game, however, it’s being reported that they may suffer a big blow before they even get a chance to go for a fifth straight win.

According to ESPN.com‘s Joe Schad, offensive tackle Anthony Davis will likely announce at a press conference on Tuesday that he’s leaving school early and making himself available for the NFL draft.

Some projections have Davis as the highest-rated lineman on the board, and he’s pretty much a lock to be taken at some point in the first round.
