Pair of Auburn FBs popped for DUI

Just as the “Days Without An Arrest” ticker was set to hit double digits for just the second time since January, a pair of Auburn Tiger fullbacks have, unfortunately, come through and set the ticker back to double zeros.

According to the Mobile Press-Register, sophomore John Douglas and junior Jason King were arrested for DUI two weeks apart this month.

Douglas was arrested on Dec. 5, while King was on the receiving end of his DUI this past Saturday.

The school has not addressed the twin arrests, but head coach Gene Chizik is expected to speak to the media about the incidents at some point today.

UPDATE 6:03 p.m. ET: According to Chizik, both Douglas and King have “been suspended from our football team to this point.” Neither will be eligible to play in the Outback Bowl.
