Gophers boot safety from program

Well, it looks like somebody will be getting a big ol’ lump of coal in their stocking tomorrow morning.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, defensive back Tim Dandridge has been dismissed from the Minnesota football program by head coach Tim Brewster for violating unspecified team rules and policies.

The announcement was made in a one-sentence statement sent out by the university.

This isn’t the first time this season the sophomore has crossed the line in the eyes of Brewster.  Earlier this year, Dandridge was suspended for two games for the same unspecified violation of team rules.

When he wasn’t in Brewster’s doghouse, Dandridge played in nine games, with most of his action coming on special teams.

I like how “violating unspecified team rules” is the universally accepted, NCAA-standard way of saying “smoking dope”.

Just say it. He was high as balls and had sex with a 17 year old freshman and posted it on the internet. There is no shame in that.
    Go Gophers. LOL.
