Top Florida recruit flip-flops yet again

Last week around this time, amidst all of the uncertainty swirling around the Urban Meyer situation, the top recruit in the state of Florida -- wide receiver/defensive back Matt Elam -- decommitted from Florida and gave a verbal commitment to in-state rival Florida State.

It’s a new week and Elam, whose waffling is rapidly reaching epic proportions, has flipped his commitment yet again.

According to Rivals.com by way of the Florida Times-Union, Elam has decommitted from FSU. Additionally, Elam says that the Gators are back in the lead for his services.

There’s a chance that Elam could make an official (chuckle) decision this Saturday during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl this weekend in San Antonio. (Incidentally, that game will be televised on your local NBC affiliate.)

Of course, that would still leave roughly 25 days for Elam to decommit, recommit, uncommit his decommit, re-recommit, decommit, then recommit again before signing his letter of intent.
