According to a press release issued by Arkansas this morning, quarterback Ryan Mallett will hold a press conference at 2:30 this afternoon.
What exactly that press conference will entail -- whether he’s leaving school early or staying -- is not known.
In a posting on his Twitter account, ESPN.com‘s Joe Schad tweets that a source close to the situation “believes” that Mallett will announce he will be returning to the Razorbacks for another season.
Mallett is a redshirt sophomore who was outstanding in his first season as Arkansas’ starter, throwing for 3,627 yards and 30 touchdowns in leading the Razorbacks to an 8-5 record and a Liberty Bowl win over East Carolina.
