East Carolina could be on the verge of finding a replacement for Skip Holtz, multiple reports out of the area are stating.
According to WKRN-TV by way of The Tennessean, Middle Tennessee’s Rick Stockstill has been offered the job as the head football coach at ECU.
Stockstill reportedly interviewed for the position on Sunday, and was then given an offer.
Along with Temple’s Al Golden, Stockstill has been considered the front runner for the job since Holtz left for South Florida last week. Golden reportedly took himself out of the running for the Pirates’ job over the weekend.
The real intriguing question with this is if Stockstill does leave, will Tony Franklin go with him or be the next OC at Troy after Neal Brown left for Texas Tech?
