Former Duck Glover heading to the Beavers

The Civil War just had a major defection.

Former Duck defensive lineman Dominic Glover, an academic casualty that spent last season at Saddleback Junior College, will return to the state of Oregon, but this time to play for the Beavers.

“I’m going to Oregon State,” Glover told BeaverFootball.com. “I went up there this weekend, they had been recruiting me for a while. They recruited me in high school. I just wanted to meet the players first and the players were awesome.”

Glover has two years to complete his two seasons of eligibility, and he’ll finish his JC classes this spring. He’ll shift from defensive tackle, where he started his career with the Ducks, to defensive end, where he looks to play next to stout defensive tackle Stephen Paea.

“I’m excited to get a second opportunity,” Glover said. “A lot of kids don’t do this, they kind of fade away or quit playing football. I’m excited to get out there and prove my worth.”
