Three-star prospect Sean Tapley has been verbally “committed” to Steve Spurrier’s South Carolina Gamecocks since, oh, September 2008.

Tapley has signed a national letter of intent to join Butch Davis’ North Carolina Tar Heels.
“Each school had things I liked,” said Tapley. ”In the end, I would say the education I would get is what stood out about North Carolina.”
Tapley goes 6-foot-0 and either 180 or 170, depending on who you ask. He runs a forty time in the low 4.4s.
