Gators further solidify top class

For the most part, Florida’s 21-person recruiting class was locked in before the fax machines had a chance to be turned on and warmed up this morning.

As expected, all 21 Letters of Intent were faxed into the Gators’ football offices even as the coffee was still brewing, officially solidifying what was the consensus top recruiting class in the country.

The Gators, though, also received a 22nd LOI that was not really on the radar until a couple of weeks ago.

According to the Gainesville Sun, uncommitted Homestead linebacker Darrin Kitchens is now committed to the Gators.

In recent weeks, UF had stepped up their pursuit of Kitchens, and the LB ultimately for the Gators over Florida State and Texas Tech.

Kitchens becomes the third LB in Florida’s 2010 class.
