Riley chooses Bruins, as battle for LA continues

UCLA and USC seem to be two heavyweights doing battle today, as both schools are swinging fairly large sticks on the recruiting scene.

Just when Seantrel Henderson decides to go to USC, the Bruins answer with their own big signing, inking safety Dietrich Riley away from the Trojans.

“I’m so excited to be a Bruin,” Riley told ESPN’s Greg Biggins. “Coach Neuheisel has been recruiting me from day one and even when I told him I was leaning to USC, he said that Lane Kiffin is a cheater was fine and it would just make him recruit me that much harder.”

(Sorry, keyboards these days have a mind of their own…)

Riley also considered Notre Dame before deciding between the Trojans and Bruins. Of the Bruins 24 commitments, 14 are four-star players or better.

(Now all they need to do is find a quarterback…)

    Atleast get your stories straight.
Riley announced a couple hours BEFORE henderson. Also, Pullard who was considered a UCLA lean ended up at USC.
Still Riley is a very good pickup for SlickRick.

In what universe is Riley a counter to Seantrell Henderson???
You might want to recheck where each of those players rank at their respective posotions.
Furthermore, you might want to take note that SC also landed 2 other safeties in this class (Bailey & Wright) that graded out the same as Riley. UCLA doesn’t have a single player yet alone a OT that compares to Henderson!
UCLA did pull in a great recruiting class, there is no doubt about it, but they still fell well short of USC’s! In fact USC would easily have the #1 recruiting class this year if it weren’t for Florida’s out of this world probably best recruiting class ever!
