UCLA and USC seem to be two heavyweights doing battle today, as both schools are swinging fairly large sticks on the recruiting scene.
Just when Seantrel Henderson decides to go to USC, the Bruins answer with their own big signing, inking safety Dietrich Riley away from the Trojans.
“I’m so excited to be a Bruin,” Riley told ESPN’s Greg Biggins. “Coach Neuheisel has been recruiting me from day one and even when I told him I was leaning to USC, he said that Lane Kiffin is a cheater was fine and it would just make him recruit me that much harder.”
(Sorry, keyboards these days have a mind of their own...)
Riley also considered Notre Dame before deciding between the Trojans and Bruins. Of the Bruins 24 commitments, 14 are four-star players or better.
(Now all they need to do is find a quarterback...)
