Zumwalt picks Bruins over Trojans and Cardinal

Last year Jordan Zumwalt looked set with his commitment to Stanford. Before it was over, he had shifted from the Cardinal to possibly heading to the Trojans and finally ended up at UCLA.

“I really wasn’t that interested in UCLA,” Zumwalt told ESPN’s Greg Biggins. “I even told Coach Neuheisel that and he said he that was fine, all he wanted was a chance and asked if he could come for a home visit. I said sure and he brought the entire staff in and I was pretty blown away.”

The Huntington Beach native was one of the quickest risers at inside linebacker and is a huge get for the Bruins, who need to replace starter Reggie Carter.

The four-star recruit also had offers from Arizona State, Colorado, and Washington.
