In the run-up to the 2010 Rose Bowl, Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor revealed that he had been playing with a partial tear of the PCL in “one of his knees” since October.
Pryor also admitted that surgery might be a necessity at some point. This week, that “might be a necessity” turned into “is necessary”.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, Pryor underwent arthroscopic surgery earlier this week to repair the damaged ligament in his right knee.
"[Pryor] had a routine arthroscopic procedure performed on his right knee. The good news is everything checked out fine and he should make a quick recovery,” a school spokesperson told the Dispatch.
The medical procedure should have no impact on Pryor’s ability to participate in spring practice starting April 1.
