An arrest over the weekend has led to a defensive starter being dismissed from the Washington State football program, the Spokane Spokesman-Review is reporting.
Cornerback Brandon Jones was arrested by university police early Saturday morning and charged with driving under the influence.
On Tuesday, head coach Paul Wulff dismissed the defensive back for violating team rules.
Jones, who transferred to the Cougars from Cal in 2008, started 11 games in 2009.
