Central Michigan lost their head coach to Cincinnati this offseason, and their all-everything quarterback Dan LeFevour to expired eligibility.
Now they might be facing the unexpected loss of their leading rusher at the running back position as rumors are making the rounds on message boards that Bryan Schroeder has left the football program.
The Mount Pleasant Morning Sun reports that nobody associated with the program is certain he’s left. The junior-to-be has missed some workouts, and there are some players who feel he isn’t going to be a part of the team next year.
Word is Schroeder isn’t looking to transfer; rather, the paper states, he may just simply be burned out by multiple injuries and trying to return from them.
Last season, Schroeder rushed for 559 yards, second on the team to LeFevour’s 713 yards.
